I have the wooden version of that one...I like the plastic idea better! I also have her Doggy Pyramid, Kong has one too now. Bayley took about 10 minutes to figure it out, so now it's easy peasy for her. She keeps losing her pyramid under things..!! What I like though, and it's alot cheaper is 101 Things to Do with a box!! Brady would probably like box games. Good way to start teaching him to put his toys away! Still working on that one with Bayley...it's harder around here..kitten seems to enjoy playing box games too! So for a few minutes, I have to keep removing kitten from the box till she gives up!
I have a couple of the wooden ones too and I think they are more difficult of a puzzle. It takes some effort to get the few pieces of kibble you can fit in each section. Carsten likes it but he opens the areas and Oliver quick gobbles up the loot.
Brady caught on quick and now LOVES the toy. He digs at it, noses it, and eventually he learned that standing w/ one paw on it and moving it worked well LOL silly butt
I have been so curious about these toys, and no store around us carries them! I have looked online and am planning on getting some. What would be a good starter?
Yes, I agree about the expense.....
I have made my own puzzle type games with gift bags, tissue paper and treats/toys inside, and I have also done "nesting boxes" with a treat in the smallest box, and then that box "nests" inside the larger boxes.
But, there's more cleanup.
I agree too expensive for what it is. A few weeks ago I bought him one of the treat toys I saw in another thread, a soft plactic disc that attaches to a plastic drink bottle and you put food/treats on the bottle. The idea is great and it was only $7 but Jubel quickly realized it was much easier to yank the bottle out of the disc than get the kibble into the disc then out the hole in the disc. He liked it but his solution is to take it apart and once he figured it out that was the first thing he did when I put it back together. Less than 5 minutes after I first gave it to him. I'd hate to spend a lot on a toy he'll solve and lose interest in likely very quickly.
