Though I would start a thread... Can always count on Big sister Adele to teach the naughty things and tire them out :) Tasman is making quick friends on the farm

I have admired this male for several years actually asked about his son in the picture Gabon.. Still enjoyed following the kennel and when Ratmir had come up for sale, wasn't a second thought to ask if he would be right for our home. I'll be picking him up this week..

He takes on the personality of every one he works with... Adele is the toy master,, Abkik is the wrestle and chew on buddy, J well J don't want none of that mouthing thing .. at 13 now J puts that pup in his place no chewing on her or wrestling lol ... He adores her for it....

And Tasman came along for the ride. This little pup is one piece of work.. I have noticed it before.. Puppy has a great home, loved dearly, family both two legged and 4 legged trust security live is good.. Puppy takes his first vehicle ride to H*ll.. in a crate, no familiar faces , places, noses, smells, on a plane for 2 days shot out the other end of the tunnel all world upside down.. So the next time this pup gets into a vehicle (well you can imagine what they have learned it means) " OH NO I am being returned" and the wild beast to fight for his life is on in protest.... Thank goodness I tether the dogs just shy of the drivers seat in the van... Tasman dying the entire trip making himself sick out every end he has.. then he passed out.. You think OMG he's dead not going to make it limp unresponsive the entire day we spent waiting for Ratmir's arrival and driving back home..( oh the exception after carringing his limp body into the cargo office so everyone could see him since he was picked up from there.. He sprang to some life to enjoy loving on everyone, adoring him.. then dead again carrying his limp body back to the van to wait more) I kept reaching out and feeling him to see if he still alive and had some warm to his body all the drive home. Get home pass through the main gates of the property and come back to the truck shutting the gates behind me, and He's up he is all mr personality sitting in my drivers seat alive and kicking..... All I know is he was laying in my lap as we were going to go to bed that night hugging me looking up at me.. and all I could say was " I could never return you, your a keeper" getting that glisen in his eyes and wag of his tail, swear when you look at the face of this pup all you can see is that expression on that stupid kid talking toy Teddy Ruxbin lol lol .... He is a keeper.. not afraid of anything..

lol a huge contrast expression with the smiley faces on the carpet lol lol lol lol ....

love love this pup... he believes his own sunshine for sure... Him and Ratmir are sold buds lol.. who wouldn't go right along with his secure happiness in himself.. Ratmir is great with him..

Thank you both. Ratmir enjoys being tethered right outside the house and we do walks on lead 4 times a day. Then some off leash time in the chain link area. I let the other dogs tag along and everyone is very pleased being side by side going and doing. I was going to try to learn the Russian words but his owner said it was not necessary that they just talk to their dogs and that Ratmir should understand me doing the same , just talk to him.. And we do really well. The winds were so high last night and I always worry the fence panels will get blown down when it's that high and non stop.. It's not the right time for Ratmir to find himself surrounded with the horses and llamas and to be tethered. I brought Ratmir in the house and let him loose. told him to be good, rest and don't eat the rabbits lol.. I was too tired to sleep with one eye open to keep getting up look out the door to make sure the Horses and llamas hadn't found a down fence panel. I woke up with Ratmir sleeping peaceful at my bedroom door way .. Dogs are dogs he raised his head with the rest of the crew with a little tail wag when I awoke and sat up in bed. And everything in the house was fine. Feel we were both right.. That Ratmir was the dog I needed and that Ratmir was the right dog to come to us. I feel he will settle in just perfect with us and I will have my strong 3 dog team mixing and matching any of the girls with Ratmir and Tasman.. Being able to take the 2 remaining with me when I leave the property to enjoy having by my side.

He's a good soul he was well loved and trained in work and trust :)

the cats saw him all night long while they were in their own house.. so I let them loose this morning while I was doing chores..

update... Everyone is doing fine.. Adele is coming into heat so there hasn't been an introduction with her to Ratmir.. Out every door on all buildings there is a fenced in area so we just do the double door policy and take a different exit. She is not in heat yet, but she is going there. Ratmir knows it, but it's not at a level that bothers him at this point. Being raised in a working kennel around intact bitches, I expect for him to calm until she is ready to breed before he becomes more pushy about it. Enjoy the bliss while I have it right... Did house training today. brought Ratmir in to hang out. He's never been a house dog before but he settled in quickly and slept at my feet while I was working. So that was the extent of my hard training for today.. :)

Tasman is growing fast... Abhik is such a great girl. to follow instructions with the new pup. Gave her instructions not to be too rough and throwing her weight around on the pup and she has been exceptional to only engage in puppy level play that is not destructive to a growing puppy body lol ..

Nothing new to report slowly moving forward.. Seeing a bit more of Ratmir's personality typical cute fun loving CO ... they get interested in something and well they just take it and trot off with their prize.. Very klepto breed and funny sneaky about it. Very well loved dog by his owners... I don't speak Ukraine and he doesn't understand English so his skills of working with humans and my skills working with dogs really worked out well from the start.. And he is so intivitive to body language he freaks me out lol ... I wanted Abhik and Tasman to take a chill pill from playing too rough for too long, went over to get them to stop and sit still, but of course they went right back at it. Was just about to turn to walk back to the house to get a collar/lead for Tasman when Ratmir walked over to them sternly going for the between position and they broke off and went in two different directions.. Thanks Ratmir that will work lol .. Cool dog, really cool dog....

We did have some added company get into our pasture.. everyone has seen it before for it not to be a big deal (just like deer or antilopes, it happens) Ratmir was suspicious about it charged towards the fence, but he quickly got over it on his own that it wasn't a big deal, it wasn't a big deal to the other animals or me... We good...

Tasman being my helper doing one on one during chores...

well well well... bitch wars is on !!! Had said I was taking it slow because I knew Adele was close to coming into heat when Ratmir first arrived. Not knowing Ratmir and how he handles, I took the cautious side of having them seperate from the start. Adele didn't progress , it seemed that she completely stopped. Abhik beat Adele to it and has actually started her cycle. Makes sense now.. Ratmir is experienced and calm easy handle nothing going on for the first two weeks.. Then Adele will come into heat and then J ... usually a week apart. Good news is I let Adele out with Ratmir "who doesn't love a smooshie" they fine.. It's a good group. Two door policy....

well I would like for the males to be a good laid back team... time is ticking Tasman will be 5 months old so we getting to that first maturity phase soon.. Ratmir is pretty laid back but he is a strong male, in a new home, and semi new life style. He took a pop at Adele the other day for just coming up to my side.. Not a big deal Ratmir is a just fair temperamen, CO's can so quickly calm down and let go in situations when they not pushed on.. it's and asset to use it in reacting to them, we have so many things we are still adjusting too. It's nice to see Ratmir and Tasman chilling out together outside .

they sleep outside together, alert and go off charging together.. all things of not paying any attention to what each other is doing, they being strong individuals side by side in their own heads about themselves.. and that is what I need for them.. Today we just hung out together in the house being quiet, the dogs being able to move past each other and not guard space will be helpful as me grow forward.. That and not being reactive for another dog being close to me or interacting with me.. Time spent living it by doing it... Always hopeful :) both of them have good qualities to work with..
