I'm sorry to hear this. Does she have chronic illness?

yeah, its called old age She is approx. 18 years old. Her teeth are in bad shape and cause her a lot of pain, but she can't have a dental done and she has bad arthritis. She has very little bladder control. She is not happy anymore. When I went to visit her last time she didn't really want to see me.

Thanks. My mom called me this morning and we talked and she told me she thought it was time, and I agreed with her. So she called the vet and made the appointment. I'm going to go over later tonight and again tomorrow to say my goodbyes, and of course I will be going to the vet with her.

I am sorry to hear that. I just went through the same thing. Our Border Collie wasn't even 6 though and the tumor had already destroyed her body. She'll be happier and you'll be with her/him again!

I always say the same thing, when the time comes please PTS me. There are no good ways to leave this earth but some are better than others. It is the correct thing to do but oh so painful. Sorry.

I'm so sorry to hear this... but you know that you all gave her the greatest life possible. 18 years is a long time to have such a great life... she lived it good and hard im sure. She'll be running and jumping again soon.

I found her, well rather she found me, when I was in 4th grade. She was my best friend from then on, and my only friend for a long time too. She was a great playmate, she could be a wild wolf, a sled dog, a mighty hunter, a cougar and a shoulder to cry on all in one day.

Re: It will be wednesday at 12:30 . . .

Tomorrow is the day. I went to see her yesterday and today, she is ready to go. She was happy to see me, but then just went and laid down and didn't move, didn't really want to be touched. Mom said that is all she does 90% of the time. We all had agreed awhile back that when bad days outnumbered the good days it was time. I'm going to bawl like a baby at the vets tomorrow. My dad is going with me, I'm sure he will be bawling too. Mom said he was crying the other day when she told him she thought it was time. I've missed her a lot since I moved out, and now it will be so hard, not even being able to ever see her again. Crap now i'm crying again.

I'm so sorry. Just know she's going to a better place where she can run free without any pain, like she was a pup all over again.
