HELP! Puppy pees all over himself! Why?!
Hello all, I have a male English Bulldog mix, the friend I bought him from thinks the dad was a Pit, and by the looks of him I think she it right. I've had him for about 1-2 months, and he is 4 months old now. My question is why does he roll on his back and pee on himself? He is the first male dog I've owned, and my last dog never did it (female). Like taoday for instance, I came home let him out of his kennel and right outside he goes on his own. Goes to his normal spot pees (short). Then walks away, rolls on his back and pees all over himself. I'm like WTF! Then he runs over to the back door sits down and pees a little more. Why can't he just pee it all out when he pees like normal? Please say he'll grow out of this. Thanks.
BTW other than the peeing on himself, he is a normal puppy, growing fast, lots of energy (too much at times), he eats like a horse, pretty much everything you'd expect, but the peeing on himself thing.
Thanks again

That is a submissive behavior. I'm not sure if there is anything you can do. But my pup had a excitement peeing issue and it solved it self when I took him to obedience class, it seemed to boost his confidence.

First things first, have the dog checked by a vet to rule out any underlying medical problems. He should be due for his last round of puppy shots, correct?

Give him a reason to pee it all out. Assuming he's had all his vaccinations, take him for a brief walk so he can check his pee mail and answer it back. Then teach him a default "sit" for greeting people. He's not likely to pee on himself from a sit.
I don't know that I've welcomed you to our forum, so welcome!
