Talking Welcome home Snowball ( aka Snow ) img heavy ( kinda a journal too)

So we went and picked up the puppy this evening. We were all so excited and my son was so afraid they were not going to give her to us. They said she did fine and was doing fine after the spay. She got some pain meds to help. So we got her home and Winter just took to her like she knew her forever. She wanted her to play soooo bad but the poor little one is just wiped out. Winter was so sad cause she didnt want to play hehe. She has been doing good and is laying down on a big pillow i had made the dogs a bit ago by my feet. She had been crying a bit, i think mostly from pain and poor winter was soo worried and looked at me like omg mom do something! it was so sweet. tried to get her to take her pain med but she wont right now so i may roll it up in some soft food later. She is so plum tired she isnt moving an inch i keep checking to make sure she is breathing hehe.

    many pics hehe

she has a bit of a upset tummy but its expected with the sadation pain and meds. We are just so happy she is home!!

    thanks everyone!

On the names i was hopeing to keep i guess you could say the theme going lol. When we brought her home and even when me, my fiance and son saw her at the shelter it was like wow she could pass as winters twin or puppy. Hehe winters tail does the sae thing only hers is more up in the air where Snowball's lays on her in a way, reminds me of an alaskin malamute.

Snow is feeling much better today. She is more active and trying to keep her relaxed cause the vet said to with the spay is hard lol. She did good last night, only one accident and seems to understad if i go to the door, i can go out. I cant wait to finish getting her her vaccines so we can take her to pets mart cause apperently, the toy we got her to chew is not good enough LOL and she loves to have one to carry around.

Oh she's so sweet! What a sweetie Love the names, especially Winter. What breed is Winter, anyway? It's funny, my dog's shelter name was Snowball. She was rescued from a high kill shelter in Ohio and I think her original name was Laurel. Then the private rescue who brought her up from Ohio re-named her Snowball, but we ended up calling her Zoe for the meaning "life".
Do you know Snowball's breed mix?

    Spitz girl
0.1 American Eskimo mix - Zoe
0.2 Cats - Misty and Piper
0.0.2 Crested geckos - Topaz and Sienna

thank you! winters mom was a gsd/rott her dad unknown. she is nowhere near the height of her mom so we think she is more like that dad cause if you were to see her mom you would go, there is NOOOO way that is her pup. The shelter said snowball was a lab mix but we dont think she is. we are thinking a mix of possable gsd, husky, alaskian malamute, golden retriever. a mix of at least 2 of those hehe. I kinda have my money on alaskian mal and gsd with a dash of posable golden retriver. Either which was we love her so much poor winter gets so worried if she cries.

trying to keep her from getting to hyper cause of the "owie" as my son calls it from being spayed is kinda hard lol.

She seems to be a fast learner, took her out into the front yard last night with winter and if she strayed from the front lawn i would clap my hands and say no back to the yard and she will go to the yard. I cant wait to get her out and socialized and really hopeing to get her enrolled into a puppy class

Could be golden or lab. She doesn't have the "sad lab" face, but she does look an awful lot like Wembley who is definitely a lab mix. I think Wembley's mixed with GSD and Snowball seems to have a lot of the same GSD-like features that he has...although that curly tail might suggest otherwise.

yeah thats why we dont think lab hehe. When her tail is down and not curled it looks like a gsd, but when its curled it reminds me of a alaskian malamute. We love her either way, i know when she gets older it will be easier to guess. I wish i had my better camara to take pictures but i had to send it inn for repaires to find out they are either sending a brand new/refurbished/or newer camara.

She is such a ham she loves to just flop onto her side and look at you like, im dying, save me! she follows winter around like crazy alot mostly when outside. Now if only we could decide on a coller color since winters collers and such are pink.
