Young Adult Food
I adopted a 15 month old American Bulldog/ Stratshire terrier mix 2 weeks ago and I have some questions about her food.
Her foster people told me to feed her Nutro Natural Balance Venison and Brown Rice because of her sensitive stomach, I was looking everywhere and it seems that flavor only comes in a 30lb bag max.
now I was at petco and saw they have 38lb bags of Adult Lamb meal and rice which is not only a bigger bag but also $10 cheaper. I went on Nutro's site and they list the Venison as specifically a sensitive stomach right on the bag, but if you select the categories for sensitive stomachs the adult lamb and rice also shows up.
anyone have experience with this brand who can tell me if I buy a bag of adult lamb and rice and slowly switch her over if she should be ok?
I know the flavor will be different but I was looking at the ingredients and they are similar for the exception of the flavor, neither have wheat or corn.
It is so much easier for me to grab a 38lb bag when I go to petco since its not that close to me and no one else sells this stuff.
Anyways here she is
edit: I just saw the dog food section of this forum, but I am also a first time owner so I didn't know where I should post.

Re: Young Adult Food
I'd probably encourage you to do some more research and not necessarily limit yourself to just the Nutro line. There a lot of great threads on the Food section of forum to look at. There are a lot of good brands of food out there, it's just a matter of finding a food that works for your dog and fits your budget. I know a lot of people on here feed things like Blue Buffalo, Taste of the Wild, Wellness, Orijen, and Acana.
Re: Young Adult Food
i just wanna be able to find a big bag, nutro runs me about $47 for a 30lb bag right now.
I accidentally fed her a little Iams (got a baggie full from a friend with a dog didn't have food for the first day), I mixed in a bit with the bag of nutro left for me and she had bad diarrhea I dunno if it was from being new here or the food
