    Is this how puppies sleep?

I've noticed that whenever my 7 week old puppy is sleeping, he tends to move around a lot. Like he is changing his position probably every 10 minutes. Not just that but sometimes he'll open his eyes, bring his head up, sometimes he'll even get up a little, but then if we go to him (thinking he might need to go to the bathroom), he'll just lay back down. I just want to know if this is normal for puppies because it seems like he doesn't really get good sleep.

I don't really know, but at that age maybe he's just used to sleeping among his litter-mates. I'm sure that at any given time one puppy wakes up and moves around and steps on everyone else in the process for one reason or another, so they just get used to readjusting. My puppy is almost 10 months old and she moves around quite a bit in her sleep and changes position too (and she apparently has some really vivid dreams!). If he doesn't seem distressed or uncomfortable I'd guess that you don't have to worry about it.

It's normal. As he gets older, he'll move less, altho he may run and bark in his sleep, apparently dreaming. Dogs have a 20 min. dream cycle, so you may even watch the cycle.
