    Colby

Here is my new puppy, just picked him up yesterday. He has kind of a sad story, he was picked up as a stray when he was very young and put in a high kill shelter. He was next in line to be euthanized when he was saved by a rescue group, and I adopted him from them shortly after. He was given the name Rusty by the rescue group, but it never stuck so I renamed him Colby after my favorite Cardinals player Colby Rasmus, and he's already started to respond to it.

He's about 11 months old and weighs about 10 pounds, he's a skinny little guy. He's got a TON of energy and is constantly wanting to play. He's really intelligent and doing great with his training. He's already veeeeery attached to me, he literally follows me everywhere in the house and whines whenever I go out the front door, even if someone is in the house with him. Leaving him in his crate when I went to go to work was tough for both of us, but he was bouncing off the walls when I came home for lunch to spend time with him.

Anyways, here are some pics of him:

These first 2 are pics from the rescue group, they were able to get better pics than I was, he doesn't seem to enjoy having his picture taken.

This last one was taking by my gf while I was playing with him.

I was told he's an italian greyhound/mini pinscher mix. I see the italian greyhound in him, but no pinscher whatsoever.

He does look a little like a minpin because of the shape of his muzzle. If he was only italian greyhound, his muzzle would be longer, more narrow and his legs would be longer.

However, I'm wondering about his big droopy ears. both IG and minpins have smaller ears that that.

I do see some min pin though. Look at the face shape, very similar. This dog's ears are cropped though.

They kinda look like a daschund's ears to me, but I'm not great with picking out breeds by sight.
