I have an appointment for my dog next Saturday at the vet for Smokey. He has terrible arthrits in is left elbow. I have tried all kinds of medications from my vet includeing: metacam, previcox, asprin, glyco flex stage 3, chondro flex, and rimadyl. On Saturday I am going to try an Adequan shot. It is a steroid shot and is supposed to have no side affects like NSAIDs. I have already researched this medication awhile ago, but I thought it was to expensive, but one of the people we clean for they have a dog that has arthrits pretty much his whole body and I can see the affect on him. He acts amazing and I can tell when he gets his shots. I will have to go once a week for 1 month then once a month. The shots are only $20 and I will only have to pay the $50 office visit the 1st time I go. I really hope it works. I am tired of seeing him in pain and limping so bad. I hope hope hope it helps him like it does the dog that I know.
