sick puppy?

My 3 1/2 month old puppy seems to be acting a little wierd (or it could be me!) The past 2 nights she has been whining in her crate almost every hour and I take her out each time to go potty and put her back in her crate. Last night she would go potty every time and this morning I let her out and she didn't go in the grass, she just stayed on the patio and when I let her in so I could get ready for work, she went pee on her puppy pad and started to poop and I scooped her up to go outside. It looked like a couple drops of pinkish blood (maybe?) on the puppy pad. When she went outside to try to finish it looked like white foamy stuff coming out (it sounds gross but I don't know how else to describe it) She isn't acting sick but this morning she didn't watch me leave, she just layed in her bed. I don't want to have to take her to the vet if nothing is wrong. I am going home at lunch to see how she's doing but she is my first puppy and I am just concerned now because of how she's kept me up for the past 2 nights and what I saw on the puppy pads. Help!

What if you don't take her to the vet and something is wrong. It doesn't sound right to me and no advice given here will replace the advice of your vet. Take your dog to the vet.
I hope it's nothing too serious. Keep us posted.

At least CALL the vet and talk to someone about the symptoms. But I can almost guarantee that they are going to want an exam done on the pup.

I agree with briteday that at bare minimum you should call your vet. Personally, for me, I would be taking my pup in for a check with those symptoms, I just prefer to play it safe and not take chances with my dogs. Good luck.

The vet said that my puppy is fine. She just had a little bacteria in her stool but nothing major. They gave me some medicine and my little girl is just as happy as ever. I think if I didn't take her to the vet I would be worrying all weekend so I'm glad I did and found out nothing is wrong with her! :)
