Hello guys,
My german shepherd dog is about 5-6 months old! The right ear is fully erect but the left one not yet!
Is there anything i should worry about or i need to wait?
Thank you

Well whether or not you need to worry about it depends on how much you care about it. It's cosmetic, but if you want to make sure the ear stands you can help give it some support while it matures. I don't have any personal experience with it, but I've seen people use the stiff breathe-right nose strips glued in the ear to keep it erect. Hopefully someone who has actually done it will chime in, Xeph is a good person to ask as she has GSDs.

GSD ears are funny, Eko's ears would go up and down, every day they were different. His finally stood for good right around the 5-6 month area everyone was telling me. No way to say for sure, but if they are already mostly up I bet before long they will both stand. But then again I've seen pictures of GSDs like yours were the tips never quite picked up but honestly I think that's just as cute as erect ears :)

Ears go up and down constantly during teething. Why, I no longer know, since it seems that what I was taught is a myth (I'm not being snarky, just stating fact). I just know they're all over the place while they teethe.

If you're concerned about the ear, start taping, if you want to wait and see, do so. From my litter of 9, 8 puppies have natural ears. There are a couple puppies I wish I had taped because they have small dents at the bases of their ears, but they are standing, so that's all that matters

I was under the impression that ears vary & teething simply occur at the same time in a puppy's growth. Not that one causes the other. They're both likely products of the many things happening physiologically in that particular growth stage.

Cute puppy! It's always fun to see how a pup's ears turn out.

That's what I figured it was too. The two things happen at the same stage in a puppy's life. That doesn't mean they're caused by the other.
