    Missing Adult Teeth

Odin is now almost 10 months old. He lost all his puppy teeth and at his last visit his vet felt that his teeth were growing in well. The problem is he doesn't have all his adult teeth yet and other owners have been remarking that this is abnormal. His gums look healthy and I am just wandering if lab mixes might take a little longer to get all their adult teeth. Should I be concerned?

Which teeth haven't come in yet? Missing teeth are not common but they are certainly not unheard of either, when missing adult teeth happen they are commonly the premolars right behind the canine teeth.

Yes, I looked at diagrams of adult teeth and he is missing a few premolars but the missing teeth are the same on both sides. It doesn't even look like they are trying to work through because their is no redness. I hope they do come through because Odon seems frustrated when trying to chew and only gumming things.

It is possible they will never come in. My father has a spaniel with two premollars missing on his top left side and he is 20 month old.
