Hello about a year ago we adopted an Alaskan Husky from a sled dog person. When we got him he was very skinny, had no leash manners, and had never been inside a house. We have been working with him and he has learned to be a great pet. He is about 9 or ten years old. I have a concern about his weight. I have never owned a husky before so I don't no if this is a good weight for them so I decided to ask her. We have been feeding him 3 to 4 cups of black diamond dog food every day with an cooked egg every other day. Her are some Pics of Canyon!

Here is a pic of Bear are other dog!

To be honest, he looks fine to me. You can sees his hip bones sticking up a bit (which is fine) but you can't see every detail of his ribs and backbone. He has a nice waist line and looks to be a pretty healthy pup!

If you're really worried about him though, a couple of extra pounds wouldn't hurt him, but it's not necessary. Since he's not running anymore he doesn't need to be at what we call "race weight" (same as an Olympic athlete) but since he is getting up there in years, you don't want too much weight on him cause it will put stress on his aging joints and internal organs.

(Oh, and by the way, he's a gorgeous boy!) :)

I think he could stand to gain a bit but he's definitely at the lighter end of a healthy range. I wouldn't be concerned by it. As MusherChic mentioned, staying lean will help keep his joints healthy as he ages.
