looking for good shampoo for near the eyes

im almost out of dog shampoo and i would like to find a better one for my lhasa apso. she has short to medium length hair (up to 3 inches) and its hard for me to wash around her eyes, i think that maybe the shampoo might get in and bother her eyes so i would like to find a eye friendly or 'tearless' type of shampoo to use. i went to the pet store and they didnt have anything like this just the generic types so can anyone here recommend something good to use or give me some comments on this one that i found online?

The one in the link seems nice, looks expensive though. To be honest, I use a bowl of warm water and cotton wool to clean eyes regularly so they don't need shampooing if the dog has runny eyes which will gunk up quickly.

If your having trouble scrubbing the hair around the eyes and muzzle to get it clean go for a tearless formula (in generic brands these will be ones labeled as Puppy, in more expensive/professional brands, most with be pH balanced, with a no tears formula). I like to use an old toothbrush for as it scrubs better than your fingers would and has real precision, especially the toothbrushes for kiddies that have small angular heads so you can get right into the "corner" of the eye to remove the gunky gooey bits.

Better yet, protect the eyes by using a product made for that purpose prior to giving the bath. Some people use mineral oil, but I just order a product online with my shampoo, and other grooming supplies. I use EQyss shampoos and conditioners.

    I use eqyss also..Microtek.

The lady at the feed store recommended it for me and She told me that it also cures poison ivy on humans. So, I bought some for my dogs and my boyfreind who is highly allergic to poison ivy. Before I used it on my dogs I done some research on it and found out it is used to decontaminate astronauts. so, I washed my hands with it to check for adverse affects, nothing happened for a few days and washed my face with it. Nothing. So I used it on my dogs. Within a week the BF was down again with the poison ivy. he used some on his arms and by the NEXT DAY it was clearing up. Usually when he gets it he has it for a LONG time.I also got into some fire ants working in my compost pile one day immediate relief and I didnt have legs and arms full of ant bumps the following day. I tell you ..this stuff is the best ever.

I love the Micro-Tek, too, and always keep a bottle of the spray on hand. Do you know, it also works on acne?! LOL No kidding! It will take the sting, burn, itch out've whatever bites you, promotes rapid healing and reduces scarring. It can be applied to open wounds, and will not burn or sting. This product is worth it's weight in gold! My male, Beau (a Standard Poodle), is white, and has very sensitive skin, so I put some on his face and feet right after I shave him. If I didn't, he'd be scratching himself into a bloody, scabby mess! My little grandson had mosquito bites that were making him miserable, so I put some on the bites. Stopped the itching right away, and his mommy told me the bites were all but totally gone the next day.

I just have to comment also on how well the Eqyss microtek shampoo and spray works. I have a young dog with seasonal allergies and this combination works well in helping to give relief. There is no cure for allergies, but only a management plan and the Eqyss products are the best shampoo and spray combo that I have used. I've tried several others recommended by veterinarians, but none have the immediate affect of the Eqyss products.

    Swear by them.
