Is anyone feeding this, it's their Sierra Mountain? I got a 15lb bag two weeks ago, when Ginger came home, to make sure she did okay on it. She does, so I got a 30lb bag a few days ago, we opened it last night. The kibble is darker, looks almost shiny and bigger than the other bag. I looked in the trash (we dump it into a container) to make sure it was canine food and the lamb; it is.
Anyone feed this and have you noticed a change? I know I need to call Diamond, but it's Christmas so nothing I can do until Monday
I just placed an order for it for the first time, so I would be interested in your responses. I thought it might be the easiest for my dogs to transition from raw back to kibble. They've both had lamb based kibble before, and it's usually the meat ingredient in sensitive tummy types. Plus it has a low calerie count, which my dogs need in the winter.
I have found a lot of kibbles look different from bag to bag. The pets don't seem to notice or get sick, so I'm sure it's the same formula. I guess every batch comes out different. Like cookies!
I think you're right. I asked on a FB group I belong to and one of the girls has fed TOTW (all of the varieties, she mixes) since it came out and she said the kibble changes from bag to bag. I know this is something they say to watch out for (changes in kibble), in case there's a problem with the bag but apparantly it's nothing to worry about with TOTW
My bunny's breeder said to always mix the last of the old bag with the new bag. Probably ought to do it with dog kibble as well.
