5 1/2 month old Samoyed switching food to Blue Buffalo, Orijen or Taste of the Wild?
Our pup has been eating Purina Pro plan and seems to be bored with it. Regardless, I want to switch her to a higher quality food such as Blue Buffalo Wildnerness, Orijen or Taste of the Wild.
My fear with BBW and Orijen is that the protein level might be too high for a Samoyed. Has anyone had any experience with Samoyed (or similar) puppies and high protein food?
She is a non-working Samoyed (3-4 hours of walk and play a day)

If you are worried about protein level too high; then you might want to consider Acana. (sister company and lower protein level)

I have my Alaskan Klee Kai on Acana, and he does wonderfully. High protein isn't a problem for most dogs, but he didn't drink enough water and developed a UTI. I decided that slightly lower protein was the way to go for him. Acana is an excellent-quality food from the same company that makes Orijen.

What is the protein level of Acana puppy? I purchased a bag of blue buffalo wilderness for puppies today and added a little bit to her Purina and she chowed it down. First time I've seen her do that in 2 weeks. I'll add Acana (which specific formula?) to my short list. I'd like to start a rotation for her and possibly a nightly raw meal

They have info for all of their formulas on their website: http://acana.com/products
Some of the formulas are grain-free (the Regionals ones. Those are the ones I feed Casper -- he likes Pacifica the most), and some are not. They have a few puppy formulas in the Classics section.
