We are planning on taking Dakota hiking in a few weeks, so we bought his pack yesterday. We tried it out today at the park (he was only carrying treats and plastic grocery bags so he could get a feel for the width). I think he really liked it! He made me laugh when H was putting it on him. He kept looking at me like he couldn't contain his excitement ("OMG do you see this?!? I'm wearing a bag! For CARRYING things! Where should we take things? Isn't this great?!?!"). And for a dog that is constantly moving, he was incredibly still while getting hooked up. He really will only be carrying his food, and his water bowl (H will likely carry his water) until he is a little older.
