This is Wade.

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Mix.

I'm thinking mixed with APBT

I'll post better pics soon.

H'es really skinny in those pics. You can see his ribs

in the pic of him sleeping.

But no worries, I'm putting some meat on them bones for sure.

Awwww... I LOVE Tollers... what is making you think he has pit in him??? When I look at his pic I see some lab but not pit.

my initial opinion was the same...I thought there was lab in him when i first saw his pics.

BUt then I met him and took him home and the more I look at his face, the more I see pit. I happen to love both pits and labs (I actually was looking for a lab/pit mix haha).

But I feel like his cheekbones and certain parts of his head look like pit.

I could be totally wrong.....

To me I think his head looks very similar to my lab (in my avatar)... I really can't say that I see very much pit influence in his head esp. since his ears lay so perfectly. usually when you start seeing pit blood you tend to see misaligned ears since pits contribute that rose ear design it will tend to mess up the typical triangular design and lay of the lab and the toller... BUT ya never know... maybe he''s a 3 way blend

This is Bella, our rescue who was listed as a border collie mix. We are constantly getting asked if she is a toller. She's larger than a toller but has the coloring.

Diego is so handsome. We lost our yellow lab last year, seeing Diego really brought back memories of Molly.

wait a minute...that's a spittin image of a duck toller! At least IMO she is. Google image search duck tollers and Bella looks just like'em!

is the tip of bella's tail white as well?

EDIT:

Just saw the tail. Based on what little I know, only the tip of the Duck Toller's tail is white. either way bella is really PRETTY (hence the name I suppose!)

Yes, the tip of her tail is white. I have seen several pictures of Tollers that look exactly like her. She also looked very much like Toller puppies from the pictures we have of her when she was first rescued.

Don't envy me Alex... it's a thankless task I do... sure there are the joys of helping the dogs but I have to deal with people who are in general mostly idiots... THAT is why i do all the rescue and foster work that I do so that I can truly devote my talents to those who need them the most. BTW it's never too late to change careers... and you're welcome for the link... I hope it didn't seem self promoting.
