Basil's ready for Winter!

Basil's coat came in the mail today! It's so cute in my opinion =D I'm so glad I found it, I was so tired of only finding coats that were expensive and made Basil look like a girl XD At least this coat is a little masculine! Also, it was on sale for $1.99 at dog.com!! I thought it was hilarious that the shipping cost 3x the price of the actual product, lol! But $8 total is still a great deal for a cute coat, and I didn't even have to spend money on gas! =D

Lol, Basil was being a grump because he wanted to go take a nap!

Re: Basil's ready for Winter!

As far as I know, he's just a big pap. He's a rescue. I've heard that oversized paps are relatively common He's about 14 inches at the shoulder and 18 lbs.

Also, I had someone ask me if he was a fox once, and they were completely serious, lol!

He's not a fox, he's a LOBSTER! lol, too cute.

People ask if Rose is a fox all the time.

Basil is so handsome!! Love that coat, and now I am gunna go check out that site!! LOL Basil looks so sweet..is he a lap dog, or is he more independent? Roxy perfers to be on my lap, and only recently did Gizmo want to do the same. He's never been a lap dog, but now he will curl up on mine, and only mine.

I actually got it at Target. They had all sorts of cute costumes. I almost got the squirrel costume, because Papillons were called Squirrel Spaniels at one point because of their tail, but I decided to go with the lobser costume so I could dress as a chef and we'd match

Whenever he can, Basil stays within a 10 foot radius, max, lol! He is always tripping me he's so clingy XD He's always by my side or in my lap, with the exception of when we're at the dog park. Then he runs of and does his own thing, but frequently checks up on me to make sure I haven't run off!

Re: Basil's ready for Winter!

Never knew Basil is such a clingy dog!

Nia is actually not that clingy. When we're walking around she will stay pretty close to me but if we're at the dog park or any other off leash park she can get quite far away from me! Half the time she's just a little white dot somewhere in the distance!

At home she'll follow me around until she thinks I have nothing interesting going on like if I sit on the couch with a laptop or something she thinks I'll most likely ignore her so she'll go upstairs by herself to either sleep or play with her toys.

Only if she's really sleepy or something she'll settle down beside my on the couch. But not usually on me, just with her back against me or something like that.

He's just the way I like him Lol, Saturday morning he was curled up on top of my feet, and if it were a school day I swear he would have made me late! XD It was just too cute. Whenever I'm on the computer, he's always either laying beside me, or curled up under the chair, and whenever I'm on the couch, he's either on the couch with me, or under the dining room table (He claimed that spot as his den, and that's were he keeps all of his toys, lol!)

Unfortunately his clingy-ness has probably played a major factor in him developing Separation Anxiety, and I have to work on encouraging him to be independent on occasion to help him get over his SA!
