When greyhounds get to running they can get very competitive and mouthy. Not all, but some. A $10 basket muzzle prevents a costly vet visit. Greyhounds have almost zero body fat and if they get cut or bitten their skin will tear or "zip", I have seen a few people take their grey in to the vet for stitches only to come out $3000-$4000 poorer and the dog had internal and external stitches and drainage tubes for the swelling.
In the photo with the lab and she is not wearing a muzzle was a time when I went to the ball field with just my own dogs. At the time I only had two greys and the lab and the three of them get along very well.
The photo with the other greys is a greyhound get together that we do once in a while and not all the dogs know each other so we always take precautions.
