| Re: New Puppy! Thracian, Jennyfur, and Llpau - Thanks! I'm pretty smitten with her. Can't wait to be able to hang out with her all the time.
Lucygoose - Thanks for the suggestions, but I think we have her named picked out already. I do like Claire though, that's cute. And I sure will have fun with her! |

| Re: New Puppy! Tazi comes to mind, as does sketch. Pippi (as in long stockings because all those spots remind me of freckles). or terrene meaning earthly.

| Re: New Puppy! Thanks for all the suggestions - but we've decided to name her Soka. (Like soca, a type of caribbean music. Our other Aussie cross was named Kalypso (calypso), so this seemed fitting. And unique!) It's pronounced like it's spelled 'so-ka'. |

| Re: New Puppy! Thanks KM! I wish she was going to stay this size forever, she's too cute right now. I can't wait to get a pomeranian one day, they stay puppy-sized for life!
I also just realized that if I wanted to stretch the music theme a bit more, my horse is named Nova (bossa nova) and my mom's mare is named Rhythm (self explanatory). Lol! |

Those are a few I had for a puppy that didn't work out.

| Re: New Puppy! (Now with name on pg. 2) OOOO sooo pretty. Our 11.5week pup is a blue merle male. Hubby named him Skyler. We went through 100's of names (literally), after a visit with our little dude we were waiting for take out food, it was a stormy day, clouds were gray & black. Hubby was sitting, staring out the window, looks at me and says "Skyler, his fur looks like the clouds right now". he was right, they did.
We had been trying so hard to find, fun, goofy names (Bernie, Henry, Stanley & Lucas, Parker) but it all just kinda fit when we were least expecting it so have faith, your little girl's name will come - there is always Skyler
eta....I see you did name her already...oops. Congrats! |

| Re: New Puppy! (Now with name on pg. 2) L2B - That's a great way to come up with a name! The best ones are the ones that you just look at the dog and go, "Yep. It fits." Pictures of Skyler are needed! (Or do you have them up on here already somewhere?)
I like Soka, and it just takes some time to get used to saying her name, since it's not one I can say I've said before. |
