Marko came into town to see me today! We took him and Bob down to the park for some play time. After the intial meeting a bit of obnoxious unsocialized hopping between the two (and a few growls) they got along great! I got 210 pictures! I won't post all of them though.

Marko is gorgeous!!! And I feel ya about the "not always delivering the bumper (or ball as we use right now..) to the hand". We're trying to work on that though..

Hunt'n dogs don't "catch" birds, they retrieve them after they're shot by the hunter. Yes, that appears to be a real duck. Either a greenwing teal or a female mallard (ETA: could be a male mallard....I can't see the head to tell for sure).

It is a real bird he retrieved. Lately there has been talk of getting Marko into AKC feild trials and hunt tests maybe next year, but right now we are working on agility, and a CGC.
Where Marko lives is a farm that raises birds soley for the purpose of dog training, and dog showing. The bird he retrieved was shot a few weeks ago, and has been used a few times.

Hunt'n dogs don't "catch" birds, they retrieve them after they're shot by the hunter. Yes, that appears to be a real duck. Either a greenwing teal or a female mallard (ETA: could be a male mallard....I can't see the head to tell for sure).

It was a real duck, a male mallard, yeah, you couldn't really see the drake proving parts in the pictures well.
