OK, I wish these were really Hallowen-themed pics, but I just couldn't resist the title!! But, tomorrow, I'm off to buy a couple pumpkins to fill up with treats and hand off to the dogs to enjoy. It's an idea that's very popular with wolf facilities and rescues, and I think it will be a blast to try it out here!

Anyway - I took some time out this evening to toss the frisbee around for Jasper. Not that he cares - he'd rather just destroy the frisbee, kaythanks. Chasing it just isn't his thing.

Oh - and YES, he is very muddy!! The whole yard has turned to mud soup, and probably won't recover until it freezes for winter...

Pretty Jasper. Make sure to post some pics of the pumpkin-feast. What are you going to stuff them with? Maybe I'll get a small one for Poca to play with in the yard...

And, um, yeah, no frisbee-fetching/catching dogs here, either. I've never seen a dog less likely to catch a frisbee than Poca. We tried and tried to get her interested in it when she was younger. She would just watch it sail past or let it bonk her in the head! She thinks they're meant for chewing. Duh, mom. Luckily I got a half dozen recently in a basket I bid on at a charity, so she's set for a while and I don't care if she mangles every one of them!

So, you carve out the pumpkin and then stick stuff inside? Like what? I think I like this idea!! What's a good sized pumpkin for my dog I wonder...
