Bessie turns ONE!

Bessie, our lab mix just had her first bday. And what a year it has been. Love her to bits, though our house is in shreds

btw to all the experienced ppl out here: she was said to be a lab mix by the shelter, and though she has the lab temperament she seems too slender to be a lab. the vet said that when she gets a little older it will be more obvious. So any guesses as to what kind of mix she might be?

OOH...finally i got a decent birthday gift.

Michiyo-Fir: She is about 70 lbs and longer than she is tall. A dane mix didnt occur to me at all. and yeah..her bday gift is still lasting but only coz she is allowed to gnaw it for some time then its put away. still shes a food hog and has made major inroads on it.

BooLette: Aww...thanks for the compliment. we think so too..and so does she apparently. (shes the only puppy ive seen who spends hours preening and admiring herself in our full length mirror

). Also i checked up on Heeler dogs, since I hadnt even heard about the breed, .. and wonder what the chances of a heeler mix here in Atlanta, GA would be. hmm...

She has a pittie face, or maybe something like that. It's her eyes and muzzle that make me thing something bully in her. She is gorgeous! For some reason the 3rd picture reminded me of an akita mix I used to have, I'm bad when it comes to guesses though!

Hallie: sometimes her ears and her face remind me of a pit bull too..but ive never owned one so don't know much about the breed. her coloring doesn't seem to be of the pitties...most pics ive seen are of brownish pitbulls. also bessie is the most outgoing and social puppy i've seen..and from what I read on this site pitties seem to be a more reserved breed generally.
