I'm a flirt-pole convert!

I kept reading about flirt poles so I decided to give this a try. Armed with a shopping list, I went to IFA Country Store and got what I needed.

Once there, I improvised and came home with a horse lunge whip and a small squirrel dog toy I could tie to the whip. Very easy to make and I suspected both boys, especially Clayton, would like it.

Turns out Cupid likes to chase after the squirrel once or twice. Then he would like to return to fetch. That's my boy. Clayton didn't like it. He loved it. Check it out.

Round, round, round we go. (Notice how Cupid is waiting politely for me to finish so he can get back to his game of fetch.)

It's only a little out of reach . . .

Pounce!

Faster than a speeding bullet!

And here's some fuzzy (sorry) video. Both boys get in on the action.

YouTube Video
If you are able to see this message it means that you don't have flash installed or that the video server is down.

Typically Clayton has fun playing outside, but even when we finish, he's still ready to go and go and go. This time around, he took a few breaks during play. And he and Cupid are both crashed now. I love the flirt pole almost as much as they do.

So, a big thanks to Darkmoon and everyone else who has posted about flirt poles.

*THE END*

Lol! That is great! They seem to just LOVE it. I'm glad you and the boys are enjoying it. It's a lot of fun. Just remember to change the toy out every once in a while to keep it entertaining.

A 15 foot horse lung whip is no more than $10 at your local fleet farm store. and then just tie a stuffed animal to the end. Cheap and easy, now you have no excuse not to get one lol.

Ever get the feeling you've started a trend? lol.

Shop around for the lunge whip. At Tractor Supply Co. They were almost $20, at Farm and Fleet across town they were $8. Same color, same style, same maker. So shop around!

Re: I'm a flirt-pole convert!

The flirt pole I use is just a broom handle with a rope & a toy tied to rope. But I'd like to get a lunge whip. We have a TSC store here, but no Farm & Fleet.
