The Nightly Ritual between Hawk Jack and Kechara

Every night after dinner this is what happenes in our house.

Growling Barking and snapping









This is the most active Jack is all day. notice how they both gang up on Hawkeye

Looks like you can't keep the old man down! Glad to see he's doing so well...there was a time this summer you weren't so sure. It's all that good luvin he has been getting all these years.

I suppose since this is really MY first old dog I don't know whats normal or what is soemthing to worry about. I see him looking depressed and just sleeping 20-22 hours a day and then the next second he looks all happy and wrastling and running around.

Very normal. He needs all the sleep to get those bursts of energy to keep up with the young 'uns.

He is still a very handsome fella and will probably really surprise you. So long as he eats, pees and poops on schedule, he's doing good for an old man.

That's exactly what my nearly 15 year old dog did for the last several years of her life, like alphadog said, gotta save up that energy! We didn't have any other dogs, but had a family of bunnies in the back yard that still needed put in their place when they came out in the evening!
