| iorek "helping" us renovate friends of ours are renovating their house and we have been helping with the siding, insulation (styrofoam), windows, and doors. we are learning a lot!! since we have been out there non-stop for days until 8-8:30 every night we have brought iorek with us. he gets a run at the soccer pitch before we go over and then gets toys, water, shade, and a stuffed kong and he really seems to be enjoying himself. he is also digging lots of holes our friends don't have a lawn yet because they had an excavator in to dig around their house to put in weeping tile, so it is ok that he is digging for now. he doesn't seem to bother digging when there is grass so i hope he doesn't develop a habit!
look at that dirty nose!!
helping to weed...
taking a rest after all the digging, kong eating, running wore him out!

he really was having a lot of fun but he was super happy to go home. he is spoiled!! i wouldn't have it any other way he really likes to be inside, i don't know why, but sometimes when we are walking he tries to go into every house we come to. silly guy
he is our little polar bear! he got the zoomies and was running in tight little circles like a nut and he looked so silly - a polar bear with the zoomies Quote:

I'm glad he's having such a good time helping with the renovations! | what you see in the picture is a body of water, it is a bay, the ocean is about 14 kms from where we are. there were icebergs out there (the ocean, not the bay) a few weeks ago. it is beautiful!
the road is just down the little hill that iorek is sitting on and the house is down another little hill so you can't see it at all. without the power lines the view would be perfect! |

| Re: iorek "helping" us renovate haha! i really like the 4th picture too. i find he looks chubby in that picture. it is funny because iorek is the complete opposite of chubby he is just so furry! we are trying to get him to put on some weight, he just goes goes goes and burns off all the extra food we give him we feed raw and he is about 50lb but we are feeding him 1.5 lbs which is enough for a 60 lb dog, which is what we are hoping he will be once he is filled out. silly doggy! |

| Re: iorek "helping" us renovate What beautiful pics. He seems to be a very good weeder and, judging by his coat, a good excavater as well. Your shots make me want to take another vacation in northeastern Canada. Never have made it as far north as Newfoundland, but based on what I've seen of NS and PEI, it's got to be beautiful. At least in the summer! |

it is funny, i would never consider newfoundland north! i used to live in northern ontario, a tiny fly in only community that was about 500 km north of timmins. that was north!! when you go to toronto from there they call it going south
in my opinion newfoundland is one of the most beautiful places in the world to live. i LOVE it here. i am living in central newfoundland right now but i grew up on the west coast. if you ever come to newfoundland you should go to gros morne national park it is on the west coast going up the northern peninsula. very beautiful there. click on the pictures link in that site i linked - so pretty!
oh, and in the winter it is beautiful too...as long as you don't have to go anywhere haha! i am not a fan of cold and snow but i manage - especially with a doggy who LOVES it! i have been told that where i live now gets TONS of snow. when my dad was growing up he said that there were snow drifts to the tops of light poles. corner brook (where we are from) used to have the highest snowfall in all of canada!! it doesn't anymore, but if anyone snowboards/skis marble mountain is still great!

| Re: iorek "helping" us renovate Oh Canada! That looks like heaven. We definitely have to make the trip. Summer only, though. Snow up to the light poles is more snow than I ever want to see in one place! |
