Bellos new collar and a trip to the vet.................

Well about the trip to the vet 1st. He had a small pimple like bump on his chest a couple weeks ago. It continued to grow and then busted open and bled. I watched it because it dried up but then seemed to be growing again so i figured i would go and check it out. He wasn't worried but said it is a cyst and needs to be watched. He also was very impressed since the last time he had seen Bello. He said he now looks almost all pitty to him but especially in the body. I said we exchange many pics of him on the DF and he said pictures couldn't do him justice! (Grinning from ear to ear if you couldn't tell!)
Anyway he grew more than i had thought. He is 23" tall now and weighed in at a very solid 71lbs! He was shocked as was i. He said it was fine because he so solid but to keep on exercising him often.

Another reason for my wordy post is i decided to get rid of his choker collar and try the one that goes under his belly and in front of his chest. He hates it and i am sort of undecided so far but here are some nice pics of him with his new collar!! Hope you like!

Trying to act likes it is o.k.

He is NOT a happy camper. Poor Bello! I didn't realize how big he was. But I always knew how handsome he was...and is. It has been so long since I've had a big dog. Butch and Roxxy are small. My last, what I called a small medium sized dog, weighed in at a solid 43#.

Well alpha i didn't realize he weighed this much. He isn't by far a hugh dog in fact i consider him to be medium sized but i guess his muscle weighs alot? Anyway i am happy with his 71lbs becasue he is very slim in the waistline and really has no fat at all which i guess is his breed and of course he is not even 2 years old yet!!

He just gets cuter !
I tried one of those with Hallie and unfortunately they aren't for training like the choke chain is. Hallie did really well with it despite the fact we couldn't find one for her oddly shaped chest! She was too big for a small and too small for a large! . How's it working for Bello? Make sure he doesn't get a rash from it rubbing on his chest when he pulls. Good luck and hope the cyst is nothing to worry about!

He walks o.k with it but the choke collar worked better. He is more mature now so when i give a little tug sideways he slows down. coincidently the cyst is exactly under the front strap of the new collar but i don't think it caused it. We will see i guess if this works or not. I'll give it another week. Thanks!!
