On Sunday I volunteered with Howling Woods Farm again, this time at a Balloon Festival (any NJ folks will probably know what I'm talking about). The weather was a bit shaky, so they weren't too busy... which meant lots of lounging around with Samson (the big black malamute x wolf I had posted previously), and two pups.
The pups were Kotori (beautiful all white wolf x german shepherd, I need to find a picture of him) and Makita (shepherd x husky x wolf), both born in February but in separate litters. They were so fun... Kotori was a little devil. He tried to pull off a woman's dress and steal a little boy's hat. Makita was the shyer of the too, but she put up a fight when Kotori went to wrestle her.
The day ended a bit earlier than expected due to some bad storms that blew through, but I'll be seeing them again in about a week at another festival. So more pictures coming then.

Hey, pay attention Makita!

That's better.
What amazes me is how gentle these guys all are, even as clumsy, naughty pups. Dexter would chew your arm off when he was little... these guys won't. I was putting my hands in their mouths to show guests their teeth... and everyone was amazing at how they showed no interest in biting.
Love me some woofers.
