Willow and Bandit

Just wanted to post these new pics of Willow and Bandit! They were "helping" me today start breaking ground for their new 1/4 acre fenced yard. I'm super excited about it - it will be totally Husky-proof (I'm talking escapes), and have both a grass/yard and wooded portion. I spent the last two days removing shrubs and brush from the woods to make more room for them to play and laze around.

Here's Bandit showing off his camouflage...

And Willow napping in my garden (this was right before she decided to hop into our pond for a swim )...

Hope you enjoyed the pics!

Re: Willow and Bandit

How about these two? Willow learning to wear her harness and get used to a sled tugline...

"Can we PLEASE just get to the pulling part now?"

I've posted TONS more photos of them to the Dog Forum pictures section in the past - just do a forum search and I'm sure you'll find 'em. I'm a little camera-trigger-happy.

Great looking helpers you've got!
The yard fence sounds like it's going to be awesome! Is there an estimate on when it will be complete? Hope we'll be seeing some of the progress, & of course more of your helpers!

Thanks for the compliments!

I am SUPER excited about the new fence! Although I love the convenience and shelter of their large covered kennel/run we built, I really want them to have an area where they can get up a good run, play like crazy, and roll around in the grass/leaves/whatever.

I'm not sure when it will be done - but hopefully sooner than later! We're putting it up ourselves to save money, but we'll still need to wait for our old house to sell (two mortgages is tough!). We have a few offers on the house, so with any luck, the fence will be up by the start of summer!

I'll definitely be posting progress pics since this will be a strictly DIY job. I'm hoping it might be helpful to others who have escape artists - it'll be quite an imposing fence but I'll have peace of mind knowing they absolutely can't get out (short of a tree falling on the fence or something!).

Re: Willow and Bandit

Oh yeah! I remember seeing pics of the awesome large covered "kennel" they have! I was really impressed with it & I'm sure the fence will be very impressive too. Good luck, I hope it all comes together real soon!
