When did Riley fill out?

I feel like such a bad owner. I haven't had a chance to take Riley in for awhile to weigh him, I just assumed he was still 64 pounds, as he had not put on a single pound for months.....was I in for a shock today.

He stopped by his vet for the rabies booster, and what do you know....

He is 81 pounds now!!! Wow....he is not my skinny boy anymore(he is still lanky looking to me though). I have felt he put on weight(just by looking at him, and feeling his ribs), and was maybe closer to 70, but 81 pounds?! The vet tech assured me the scale was accurate, and felt looking at Riley's size it was correct.

Alright, so bad owner me decided it was probably time for some updated pictures of him. Here are some pictures from today.

He has grown into a handsome Collie RC

You can see that his chest has filled out and his overall structure is bulkier than before,great pics as always.

. He really has grown into a good looking guy. I was just thinking about Aspen, and how she actually had a major growth spurt between her 1st and 2nd year...It seems I should have been prepared for Riley to have one as well!

I can see what you are talking about with his chest. I also noticed it in his hind end too.

I guess I can't call him my string bean anymore

He looks great, Danielle--I can see that he's filled out a bit, too--we just don't want our babies to grow up do we??? lol

Now...how about Angel and Dawson??? We gonna see them before they fill out????

Pepper, by growth spurt I mean both. Mostly with him filling out, but I just measured him yesterday and he is slightly taller now(was 25 inches, now 26inches). I still can't believe he put on 20 pounds like that!!

SDO and Mdawn, I do need to get more pictures of the others. I have some old ones you may have missed in previous threads! Hopefully they will tide you over until I get new ones....no recent pictures of Angel though(I know, I know!)

Here are some Dawson pictures. Last weigh in a month ago he was 66 pounds. He is going to be a big boy too.

Angel is still very, very tiny. Last weigh in she was 35 pounds I believe. Put it this way, I still can pick her up and hold her like I did when she was a young puppy

. She is just so petite, but still quite the cutie. Will be interesting to see if she hits 40 pounds!

Riley is really a fun dog to be around. He has loads of personality, and is just a goof(why his nickname as a pup was Pluto!)

Hehe Aspen is definitely still the queen bee. All the boys know not to bug her, or they will be in trouble

They get along pretty well though.
