| Came home with a new puppy tonight... We went to meet the new puppy and ended up bringing him home with us. He's a sweetie. Bo's about 9 months now and not so babyish anymore. I forgot how little puppies can be. LOL
Meet Jake
He's got HUGE webbed feet and a knot on the the back of his skull kind of like Dobie's and setters have. I have no clue what type of mix he is. My DH thinks he's a bully breed because of the Brindle coloring but I *think* lots of breeds can be brindle. ( Not sure though)
His big brother loves him but is way to excited. I've been trying to keep them separated some because Bo is so big in comparison.
I forgot that I loaned out my crate so I had to borrow one from someone else. LOL |

Lots of breeds can be brindle but thats a bully mix for sure and a damm cute one too!
Those paws are pretty hefty so it could be anything from PitXLab(which i doubt but is always the 1st guess.lol) to some mastiff maybe, the face is kinda of Dobe-ish(like you mentioned, which would be cool as ive never seen that mix before. |

Lots of breeds can be brindle, which I found out when researcihng my own pups breed. Greyhounds, great danes, boston terriers, boxers.. there's gotta be more than that. Not just bullies get lucky with that color (one of my personal favourites <3).
eta: I always post so slowly lol |

| Re: Came home with a new puppy tonight... We have no clue about him other than he's probably around 3 months old. He still has all his sharp puppy teeth and they don't seem loose at all.
Some kids near my MIL found him. he showed up on a lady's porch and she was hitting him with a stick or broom handle ( not sure) trying to get him off her porch. He's a funny little dog. Lots of personality. My MIL has 7 dogs plus she's fostering some kittens. He did well with all of them. Just a real sweetheart.
No one came looking for him or put up fliers. I think he was dropped off. They have lots of animals dumped where she lives. ( Lots of woods etc...) |

| Re: Came home with a new puppy tonight... Such a rough start to his life... Poor guy! At least now, he has a safe, loving home complete with a big brother to show him the ropes.
He really does have an adorable face. It sort of reminds of Eddie's face when he was little...except that Jake's is a little thinner. Maybe there is some Lab in him some where. |

| Re: Came home with a new puppy tonight... What a cutie and a lucky little guy. I can tell his feet look pretty big from the pictures.
There are more breeds than I can list that can be brindle. I really don't see any bully in him, but once he does some more growing it'll be clear if anything bully plays a large part in his history.
After a little google search I think he looks like a Cur mix, possibly a Mountain Cur mix? He sure is a handsome little guy! |

| Re: Came home with a new puppy tonight... Thanks everyone!
It's so hard to take pics of him because he never stops moving. LOL I think the brindle really makes you think bully at first but in person I just don't see it. ( Not that it would bother me.. I really love bully breeds) We have lots of hunting around hear so any type of hound or hunting dog mix isn't out of the realm of possibilty. I can't wait to see what he looks like as he grows. |

| Re: Came home with a new puppy tonight... Thanks so much everyone! It has definitely been an adjustment here this weekend. Adding a second dog doesn't just double the work, it triples it! LOL |
