Today was a pretty good day, I set off with a new camera, and Pepper in a gentle leader.
We go to Pioneer Park, was Alaska land, the new name is so stupid. Basically you can bring your dogs but must stay on leashes, theres kids noises, etc...
Not that many people asked to pet her, but I told a few people that she was shy and doesn't like being petted, but she licked a few people and said hi, not completely social butterfly but better than before when she was lunging barking and freaking out (thanks to you guys she doesn't do that anymore =D)
Well down the road about...half an hour by walking is a dog park, so we set off for there, along the way I went fly fishing, caught a few fish...yay...well the first time we went to the dog park, she got ran over by a big dog lol, the second time I didn't go inside because the dogs in it were snarling at her through the fence so I decided otherwise...heh heh...so today the dogs were really friendly!!! I didn't let her off leash though because she has extremely bad manners with stranger dogs and basically thinks she can kick all their butts! But it was good for her, she sniffed noses and such, but we had to leave after a really submissive but turned out to be small dog aggressive dog tried basically biting her head off....heh.
Well other than that, the gentle leader has totally helped me. She can't lunge or bark or freak out on walks when other dogs walk by, she still gets very excited, but she doesn't lunge and get other dogs excited, I'm so happy! lol
So here are some pictures! oh one more thing! Since I live in Alaska I don't see many different dog breeds, huskies, labs, a lot of mutts ...but today! I saw a guy walking three huge greyhounds! And the woman next to him walking a whippet and a JRT! Those greyhounds were the most beautiful dogs I've ever seen, man I need to get out! I wanted to get pictures of them but I was too hypnotized!
After the dog park we got frosty paws ice cream!
