Cherokee's momma - any breed guesses?

I got an e-mail from Cherokee's momma's adopter. I think Sydney (Cherokee's momma) is cute as a button. Do you have any guesses of her breeds? The one picture shows her next to a pug, I am not sure of her weight but that gives some perspective.

Well in this pic im seeing either Pit or SBT mix for sure, kinda reminds me of Blake in the ears, eyes and nose,if she were brindle there would be no doubt but SBT and Pits come in tri colour too.

She has lovely colouring i see where Cherokee got his eye lash thingy from too.lol

If only Cherokee knew how to grin like that! His smiles are more hidden, with his head down, so you can only see his nose crinkling up. I'm thinking his pappa must have been a little more serious or a mix of the greyhound/whippet type.

I honestly thought pittie x some sort of herding dog. She's very pretty.

There was one pic I seen of Cherokee with that "type" you speak of. One of those nice body shots you take of him

I do see what Pooch means about the ears and eyes also.

Sydney (Cherokee's momma) who is shown here is at least 3 years old. She is very sweet and attends day care on a regular basis. Her owner says she is super fast and runs circles around the other dogs.

My dog, Cherokee is just over 2 years old. He is bigger than her at 50 pounds. He is also extremely fast and is great with all other dogs, both big and small. If there is pittie in them, it is definitely not of the dog-aggressive variety or it is so overwhelmed by all the other breeds that it doesn't show itself.
When we adopted Cherokee the rescue suggested that he may have smooth coated collie in him. I think his father probably has shepherd in him as well as coonhound and/or pointer. He is such a mystery dog, it is still fun to guess.

For anyone who doesn't know him I will include some pictures of Cherokee.

i still say there is pitty in him and cherokee now that i have seen her. they are great animals and make wonderful pets. i was worried when i got bello as many of you remember and he turned out wonderful. loves kids and most other dogs. not cats!. pit doesn't always mean agreession!

here is bello. pit/shepard/beagle/ridgeback? we don't know and no longer care!!

That's a gorgeous picture of Cherokee. I see in the ears and nose of the mom what Pooch is saying, but I don't really see "pit" in Cherokee that much. It may be in there somewhere...but it's probably a small fraction of the mix. He's gorgeous. Looks like his mama too.

cherokee is a very nice looking dog. you should post lots more pics!! bello does resemble those pics which is probably why i say i see some pit in both of them.

bello's previous owner said he owned a pit and he said bello was a stray. i say he was a part of the litter he didn't want. even my vet said he is pit somewhere in there.

either way we both have awesome dogs.

I agree with those that say Cherokee has some type of bulldog in her.

I still think Pit/Shepherd or Pit/Collie She is a beautiful dog. We both know how I feel about those tan eyebrows. Cherokee has such lovely eye makeup too. I could get lost in his eyes.

I see maybe a little pit as far as the shape of her head and her ears... for as for the rest...who knows. She is a beauty though.. and Cherokee is as handsome as his mom is beautiful..

I'm thinking with the white tip on her tail that she could be Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Cross.
