My dog Kari

I just wanted to post some pictures of my precious dog Kari. She's a black lab mix that we got from the pound. When we first got her not only was she brown from all the dirt, but she appeared to have been abused in her previous home. She was hand shy and flinched whenever anyone made any sudden moves. That was quickly cured however and now she's one of the sweetest, well behaved, and loving dog I know.

She's really very shy around the camera so it's hard not to get a picture of her where she's not looking so scared and pathetic. Even with the flash off it's hard for me to sneak a picture of her.

And here is her after she's been shaved. Originally I did this to test a new pair of clippers that I got my hands on ( she's so good for grooming she makes an excellent test subject ), but my parents liked it so much that it's become a regular summer thing.

Unfortunately she's no longer my dog really. I moved to a new apartment that doesn't allow dogs not to mention it would be to small anyway, but thankfully I'm not to far away so I can see her every day. Not to mention that I think she really became my dad's dog. She's been very good for him to. She eases his stress, keeps him calm, and his high blood pressure has even been eased a little having her around.

(( If the images are to big even with that re sized bar please just tell me and I can shrink them ))

And to answer your question I shaved her because I had bought a new pair of clippers ( came with a #10 blade so that's why she's so close ) and wanted to try them out before using them at work. Kari is always so good about letting me mess with her that she's no trouble to groom so whenever I get new stuff she's always my test subject for it.

Exactly! It's so funny cause it's gotten to the point she sees a package, any package, and she tries to hide. She may sit still once I start grooming her, but I always have to catch her first!

Oh here's another picture I found of her that I took while she was resting at the top of our stairs.
