| Finally - Mesquite pics! (and updates) We lost the connection cords for our camera during the move - that's why it's taken us so long! Anyway, here are shots of the new girl (we've had her for over a month now).
For all of you who knew about her illness, it's cleared up after two weeks' worth of antibiotics. Unfortunately, now she has a yeast infection in her ear, but that should clear up within a few days with special ear drops.
Mesquite and I have also been trying out canicross together...I bought harnesses (one for her and one for myself) last week, and now we run together every day. She's pulled me through a couple bushes while she went after squirrels...but she and I are both getting better at the "on by" command.
Anyway, pics!

| Re: Finally - Mesquite pics! (and updates) Mesquite is looking great! I bet Canicross is fun as well. If I was any good at running I'd definitely want to give that a shot.
How are her and Rocky getting along? |

How are her and Rocky getting along? | They get along swimmingly. They both can get kinda testy to each other when one has been on a walk/run and the other hasn't, but that's to be expected with two pretty high energy dogs.
Canicross is a ton of fun. She pulls pretty well, but only has the endurance for a couple of miles before she just stops pulling and just kinda trots. We'll work on that Quote:

Oh, and for the uninitiated, skijoring is like sledding, but with cross country skis. And less dogs.
We'll get some pics up from some runs this week, it's a pretty fun thing to do |

The ONLY issue we had is that she still has some urination problems. She pees both when she's super excited and when she's scared, both of which can happen seemingly at random. It's definitely getting better though, as she discovers that her life isn't going to change any time soon, and all these good things get to stay. |

My sister came up for the week, and we went on a run today (all three of us). I ran along side, but man, I didn't realize how much work Mesquite had been doing! I was working to keep up! There's nothing better than a running partner who does some of the running for you!
EDIT: whoops, this is Squirmyworm...forgot to log out on Trumpet before I posted... |

| Re: Finally - Mesquite pics! (and updates) They both look great! I have to second that "So glad you decided to get her". She looks so happy in those pictures..Well dog happy. Tongue out, upside down, flopped on side, "poor pitty me", all the classic looks of a happy dog.
Great seeing new pictures of Mesquite!! |
