| Weekend at the Lakes Region in NH We spent all day Saturday and Sunday visiting Matt's family at Silver Lake in New Hampshire. Zoe swam pretty much non-stop (or sat and barked and whimpered until we let her go back in the water). It was VERY cold water still (snow melt coming off the White Mtns) so we had to keep taking her out and drying her off when she started shivering uncontrollably. I could definitely tell that goldens were bred for retrieving in cold water though, because no matter how much she shivered she just wanted to run right back out into that lake to get her ball.
I have lots of pics, so bear with me!
Digging for ball in the sand:
SPLASH!
Shake it!
Walking on water:

Nice retrieve:
Probably my favorite shot of the bunch, Zoe running to the water:
Love this one too...I tried to go out in the kayak, because I couldn't get too far because Zoe kept following me...it was okay though, it was so adorable having a swimming shadow that I didn't mind staying close to shore!

Splish Splash Leap:
This is cute...she put her ball up balanced on the corner of the boat and then stared at it up there for a minute before knocking it down to play:
Zoe on the way home (she's still passed out almost 24 hours later lol):

| Re: Weekend at the Lakes Region in NH Some scenery shots, as it was a gorgeous weekend...
There is an eagle living on the island in the lake...the pics aren't great, but you can get a sense of how huge and majestic he is (he's at the top of the tree in the middle):
Another shot of the eagle...he's on the ground, about halfway between the boat and the left side of the picture...see his white head? He's seriously about the size of a dog sitting out there.
Its very pretty there:
THAT'S ALL FOLKS! |

| Re: Weekend at the Lakes Region in NH Zoe looks like she enjoyed herself very much. I love the picture of her sitting there staring at the door. Like she's willing it to open so she can get back to the water.
Beautiful pictures FOZ. |

| Re: Weekend at the Lakes Region in NH Wow, that looks like a blast, FOZ!!! Kayaking, swimming, beautiful scenery...amazing.
Diving in that cold water really must be a golden thing, haha. Kim loves swimming, but if she were presented with water that cold she would act like I was trying to kill her...
Glad you had a great time, and nice pictures! |
