| I can't be the only nut out there... Someone actually mentioned it today. I took my three big ones training (Sioux Coco and Bubba, additionally Ridik is here 10 hours a day cuz he belongs to a friend). About half way through, everyone is in a down from just commands mind you, and some guy getting out of his car says, "they have matching leashes and harnesses? You must be a nut?" Well... What could I say?
When is the last time anyone used that phrase anyway? |

| Re: I can't be the only nut out there... My dog's collar absolutely matches his leash. Which means I have several leashes, so that they will always coordinate, no matter which collar he's got on. |

| Re: I can't be the only nut out there... Heh, yeah it's not just you...I've actually brought an extra leash because while the black one goes nicely with her "good" collar, if she wears her blue harness then I have to switch leashes...
Wow that sounds sad lol. What can I say, my little girl's gotta be color coordinated when she licks herself in public... |

Ok ... does everyone wash them too? I use tide and put them all in the bath tub. Then with a bristle brush, I scrub them. Then hang them on the clotheline. |

| Re: I can't be the only nut out there... I never would have thought of a pillow case. Now I'm good. Except the mud stains... I, still, need, to... hand wash. Do the mud stains come out in the wash? They always muck through sludge... |

| Re: I can't be the only nut out there... I use something called citrus power for stains. Works great. Look for something with orange oil. Also a paste made of baking soda and water. Rub in by hand HARD and rinse with white vinegar.
The leashes not the dogs.
Or try soaking in vinegar and baking soda and citrus cleaner. I have a hotel. With white sheets. I think I've dealt with almost every stain there is. |

Yeah I wash her "rough wear" collar/leash after we go kayaking or to the lake. Our apartment's too small to have something in it that stinks of lake and fish. I usually just let them soak a tad then scrub them, because I don't want to hurt the washer, but I think next time I'll try the pillow case trick (with Kim's pillowcase, not mine ) |
