| Re: More kameha at dog fesitval Thanks. We went to the festival for fun.there were a lot of vendors and games. He won the biggest paws contest. I couldn't believe it cuz there were a few great danes that everyone thought would get it. they put there paw on an ink pad and press it down on paper then measure it. It was funny.I am such a nerd when it comes to my dog. I love going to dog events. We went to a halloween costume contest as well, haha. |

| Re: More kameha at dog fesitval He's a Cane Corso not a neo. I keep getting that though. I think it's cuz he's over weight in those pictures-haha. They have some agility things for the dogs and mostly it's to introduce new pet products. Like they had a display of new dog houses and agility courses and of course dog foods and they even had someone there massaging the dogs! I can't wait till the next one. |

That sounds like a blast. I don't think there is anything nerdy about spending fun times with your dog. I do it all the time. Then again, I might be nerdy as well. I don't care. I love doing things like that with my dogs. LOL Last summer I took my male to a Pet fair and had him doing Lure coursing. It was so much fun. He made his breed proud. It is great that you are doing the same for your Cane Corso. Another misunderstood breed. How in the heck did you get him in that little car in the other pictures you posted? |

| Re: More kameha at dog fesitval Inga,
I'm glad you understand my dog love-haha.My husband just calls me crazy dog lady. It was hard getting him in that cart. The pupperoni guy helped pick him up to put him in there. He is a misunderstood breed.my neighbor has one too but he never brings him out. I would have liked them to be friends but all we do is see him behind his fence when we go out for walks. And he has a loud deep bark. |

| Re: More kameha at dog fesitval LMH That is sad about your neighbors dog. That is the one that we will read about someday biting someone because he never socialized the poor dog. Then yours is at pet festival getting loved up on by how many different people. I am a firm believer in... It is how they are raised. You should send that picture in to the Pupperoni dog treat company for a commercial. Wouldn't that be fun to see your dog on TV or a magazine or something? LOL They would probably make it say something stupid like "I say these snacks are greeeaaat! You want to argue with me?" |

| Re: More kameha at dog fesitval Inga,
LOL funny slogan for the commercial. I would love that. I really wish they would use these "tougher"breeds for commercials. I would love to see more Rotts or great danes on t.v. Your rott is beautiful- he should be in pictures-haha. My parents have 3.They put one down 3 years ago do to cancer. they gave her a full hysterectamy and the cancer came back. It's weird cuz they will spend a lot on thier dogs but they are actually not the model dog owners. they do not socialize them for nothing. The male one attacked my dog and gave him a puncture wound in his mouth. I had to go in their space and get my dog out of there cuz he wasn't even fighting back.Once i dogsat for my friends Rott and he was THE BEST dog I had ever come across. He was 5 years old and very trained. That's when I told myself when i get a dog i will do everything to train and socialize. it makes the hugest difference. |

| Re: More kameha at dog fesitval Yes, and it is fun too. The dog in my signature passed away in November. She was my Angel dog. I love that picture of her as well. I only have males left now, but hope to have another female some day. The only reason I DON'T want to see Rottweilers on TV right now, is because they always portray them as tough. That in turn spurs all the BAD owners to want one for all the wrong reasons. Rottweilers were number one most popular dog a few years back. They are starting to move down on the charts a little bit. I hope they continue to decline in popularity. It would be best for the breed. Less negative attention to the breed the better. You would be surprised at how many people purchase breeds of dogs solely because they saw one on TV or in a magazine and just had to have them because they are so cute. You are absolutely right about wanting to socialize your dog and train it. Look at all the fun you and your dog get to have at things like Pet festival. Your parents Rottweilers can't go. Your neighbors dog can't go. They miss out on so much fun, by not being trained and socialized. Getting good owners for dogs must be an awful lot like winning the lottery. So few do it, the ones that do sure are lucky. Looks like your boy won the lottery. LOL What does his name mean? |

| Re: More kameha at dog fesitval Oh thats so sad to here. She was really a beautiful dog. I would like to see bigger breeds on t.v. so that people won't stereotype them but I didn't give consideration to the downside that unexperienced people would get them and not know how to train them. He's named after King Kamehameha of Hawaii. My husband and I met there and lived there for a while and I just love the names they have. |
