My shar-pei Peaches the queen of my house!

well this is Peaches. She will be 10 in 2 weeks. She is a sweet girl, who still has plently of life and energy. She enjoys playing and sleeping a lot. Here is some pics of Ms. Peaches.

She's a cutie - I've always loved Shar-Pei faces.

Does Peaches have allergies or some sort of skin condition? In the 3rd picture it looks like she has a bit of hair lose.

No skin conditions. I took her to the vet about 2 months ago. The vet said she was just getting old and starting to loose some of her hair. The breed normally lives to 8 years of age. You do have exceptions which make it to 10- 15 years of age. She has a mohawk on her tail now, from her hair that she has lost. I asked the vet to even run blood work to make sure there was nothing wrong with her. Everything came out fine.

So I have a pei that has a mohawk! It is her signature trade now. Bless her heart. I want to wrap her tail up when she goes outside, but I don't think she would like that too much.

Ah, I was just curious. I have noticed that a lot of Peis and Pei mixes exhibit a bit of hair lose in their old age. Either way though - she is a cutie. I love the 2nd and last shots best.

Thank you very much everyone. She really is a doll. All those pics were taken on christmas eve. She had a ball. She had so many toys that she wore herself out. She went to sleep smiling! I hope I have many more years with her, but as time has started to tell, she has started to show her age. She just got over an ear infection last month. All I can do now is enjoy every min. with her and take plenty of pics.
