Our Trip To the Lake

We went to our lake house for the new year and the dogs had a blast. It's way to cold to get into the water so the best we could do is get close.

Teddie just loved the water and this was his first time up to the lake. His favorite part of the whole weekend was laying on the front porch though.

Elliot was not to sure.. But he took the best pictures imo. Those blue eyes just stood out even more.

Re: Our Trip To the Lake

Mahalo was worn out and really didn't like the water blurping at her.

Buster was pretty good, but 80 pounds pulling in a different direction is never good.

Duncan loved the water and wasn't ready to go back home. He's a little ham..

I'm hoping we go back soon. I haven't been up in a year because it's been so busy around here. It's nice to go out, but no tv, not internet.. We walk pretty much the whole time we're there so we're all pooped by the time we come back home. I think we'll all sleep really good.

Re: Our Trip To the Lake

I think you should adopt him, after all your husband or bf has already let him visit so he should just say yes. lol Awesome pics! Was teddie able to jump up on the swing or did you put him up there? Snoopy can't jump on any furniture, he can barley jump on the couch and we have to encourage him to do it with help by lifting his bottom. lol

Lol no husband or boyfriend Durb, so if he stays that's one thing I don't have to worry about.

He jumped up there by himself..He jumps on everything; my bed (4ft.), couch (2ft.) then couch arm, swing (2ft.), laps.. He's got very strong legs so it's not a problem. Compared to most Shih Tzus he walks for miles and runs all day with the other dogs. So he's got very muscular legs. I personaly don't like it, but he thinks it's a game. I was surprised when he jumped on the swing because it moves. Everything he's ever jumped on has stayed still, it was funny to watch him turn around though.

His other favorite spot was the porch table..He jumped up there too.. He looked like a cat.

I guess one goo thing out of it is he's not under your feet all the time. His tail gets stepped on enough maybe that's why he stays up there. When he's on the couch at home he can see the front door, backyard and living room from where he lays. It's his favorite place to sleep when the sun is out.. If I described him without a picture or without saying what breed he is, he could pass as a cat..

Re: Our Trip To the Lake

I must say, Elliot sure looks good at your Lake house. I think he "fits there." There are those dogs that just cannot be successfully "fostered" There is no shame in that type of failure. LOL Maybe we will be seeing more pictures of him in his new permanent home? LOL

Noooo......that would never happen. We'll probably have him atleast another week because of what's going on with the rest of his litter. My only hopes are that he doesn't get used to being in a home and then when he goes back to the kennels he gets depressed.

He's sitting her on the couch with me chewing on my jacket..There is nothing like a puppy in the house.

I just have to say that your dogs are absolutely gorgeous. I'm so jealous. Seriously, I thought my dogs were pretty cute but yours just put mine to shame.

Thank you.
I bet your babies are quite beautiful themselves.

They look pretty in pictures, but they can be a pain in the butt sometimes..
