My first Foster... Jodie <3

This is my first foster Jodie. She is some sort of Pointer/Border Collie mix... i see more pointer and lab though. Sadly, she was dumped in front of my house today, she is not even a year old and it is obvious that she had recently weaned some pups. I was so upset. Chances are the people saw her mating again, and just did'nt want to take the responsibilty and get her spayed. Well, I am great friends with the directer of the SPCA here in my city, and one of thier Kennels is located down the street from my house. Long story short, they are going get her spayed first thing in the morning and get all her shots and get her checked for any underlining problems.

She is sooo wonderful, I love her so much already. Now for the better news... my James (my bf) fell completely in love with a male Lab/Pit mix that had been there for 2 years, since he was a pup. Well, JAMES ADOPTED HIM!!! Oh my... this has been a day... chances are I will be keeping this wonderful new love in my life too. I am going to be terrible at being a foster for the SPCA... ehhh, dont you just want to keep them all?! She is very well tempered, loves other dogs, and is very gentle. BTW: James' new dog is named Sampson. pics tomarrow.

She is super cute. I myself have been a total failure as a foster mom. I have kept them all. Well, at least all of the Rottweilers. I did let one Beagle go but it went to a home where I personally know the person and she is GREAT!

I've actually been very busy with online quizzes for school, and all my classes. Then to add to that, I have become addicted to this darn game that James introduced me to. Now, my time will be devoted to Jodie and Sampson (James' new adopoted dog) and all the dogs at the SPCA Kennels down my street. Sorry I havent been around! How is TITO?!!!!

Re: My first Foster... Jodie <3

Just wanted to UPDATE on Jodie's condition post-spay. She is doing very well, but it has been about 5 hours since I picked her up and I think the soreness is begining to kick in. I just gave her the pain meds. The cut is a bit bigger than expected, but the Veterinarian stated that there are different ways they are taught to cut and some do it differently. The SPCA uses him as their vet, and he is very wonderful to the animals. I'm so happy to have her back, but at the same time I am falling more in love with her and now I just dont know what I would do if my father didnt agree we could keep her. I am a terrible foster mom. LoL.
