Zoe, you have no idea how many really weird pictures I have of them swimming in formation! LMAO! In a perfect circle all together, a triangle with Roxy pefectly in the middle front and Hades and Brutus spaced evenly apart behind her... ROFL!
Yep, Roxy's half and half. Brutus' breed is technically unknown, but the vet, as well as my trainer and myself, don't believe he has any pit in him. His head does look like a pitbull in certain lights, but my vet has listed him as a Mastiff X, so perhaps it's the mastiff that makes him look that way. I mean, it wouldn't be crazy as mastiff's are in many of the APBT's and Amstaffs today. : )
Also, he's around 26" tall and weighs around 100-110lbs, so he's WAAY to big for a pit, or even a pit mix. As a comparison, Hades is a teensy bit over in height for the breed standard, but he's 22" and a bit and 60lbs. All of the other pit type breeds, like Amstaffs and SBT are even smaller than the APBT, so Brutus doesn't quite fit! lol
I've actually had someone on a board tell me he has Fila in him due to his structure, and his back end is higher than the front. I have heard of a few Fila's in this area, so I wouldn't be surprised.
It's cute, because Hades' just started swimming this year, and Brutus seems genuinely worried all the time that his little buddy is going to drown. So he follows him all over, just to be sure he's okay
And Hades has to follow Roxy, because well, she's Roxy. So kodak moments like this happen all the time
