Re-introducing myself for the new members!

So, it's been a LONG time since I've been on here, and only quickly when I do get on. So, I realized there are ALOT of "New" members (Or at least, ones I don't know!! Apparently they're not "new" anymore though!) And RonE got a new puppy!! I got on here and saw pictures on here, and am like "WHAT??" The reason I haven't been on is because I'm WAY busy with school, and we had a flood in our house, and are living in a hotel...So, every spare minute I have is spent on Torrey and Mock Trial.

Anyway, my name's Kasey Nash, and I puppy raise. I'm fourteen, and am on my second pup! My first puppy, Jaylie, is a BIG sweetie, loving my little brothers to death, though she likes little girls better!! She was nine months old when she was dropped from the guide dog program, because of an eye problem. I didn't keep her, because my family gave me the option to either keep her or raise again. I really want to be a guide dog instructor, so I couldn't give up puppy raising. Jaylie is now living on three and a half acres in Northern California, and I am in contact with her owners. They have two grandaughters, who Jaylie loves to death!! The first night they had Jaylie, their grandaughters came over to spend the night, and Jaylie slept on the floor with her head on the blow-up mattress where one of them was sleeping. She's a big sweetheart, and I miss her every day!! Here's some pictures...You can see how her eye is half closed. She was scratched by one of her littermates before I got her, and it never healed...The vet says she may eventually go blind in that eye. =-(

Her and I at a pumpkin patch when she was about four months old.

At Disneyland, age six months. (About)

This one especially you can see what's wrong with her eye.

Poetry Recital (Ya, she kinda blends in with our skirts!!)

Re: Re-introducing myself for the new members!

And now I have Blitz, a yellow lab. He's seven months old now, and so far, is just plain lazy!! If he's dropped for anything, it'll be laziness. I think he'd make a great breeder though! He would pass on the mellowness. So far, he's not neutered, and they are usually neutered anywhere from four months to six months, so they're considering him!! His training is coming along GREAT...His heeling is near perfect, (He does perfect on the straight line concept, is perfect on left turns, but is having a bit of trouble on about turns and right turns.) his sit and down are perfect, he's near perfect on the stand, (He knows what I mean, he just doesn't like standing...ya, he's lazy!!) and is coming along on the formal come. (That's coming to your left side, turning around, and sitting. He comes to my left side and turns around, but I have to remind him the sitting part.) He's also unphased by loud noises and such, and also unphased by crowds. He's all around a perfect puppy!!

Here's some pics.

At a school, about three months old.

Meeting with a horse, six months.

Lounging in his jacket, six months old.

First outing ever, two months old!!

Showing his regalness...Five months.

What he does all day.

His favorite place. (When he fit!) two months.

Lounging with his sis, three months.

ALSO!! Blitz snores. No, this is not your run-of-the-mill SLEEPING snore, he does it twenty-four/seven, even if he is wide awake. Here's a video, to give you an idea of what it's like. (Yes, he is wide awake in the video.)

Hey Kasey, there are a lot of new members! Wow Blitz has gotten big. That snoring 24/7 would drive me crazy, how do you deal with it?! Would they drop him because he doesnt breath right (could there possibly be something wrong with his nose?)?

Re: Re-introducing myself for the new members!

Haha, ya, that pretty much does drive me crazy. It's not as loud as that all the time, but it's pretty frequent!! (Once every five minutes or so...) We see it as his way of "talking." When he was younger, we thought it was just an age thing, but it's actually gotten worse. We had a vet check it out, and she said absolutely nothing is wrong with him! I don't know what's up! Lol, it's cute though! The vet said I don't need to worry about him getting dropped for it...It's just something that makes him special.

The other day, we held a mic up to him while he did it. That's just what we need...An amplified snoring.
