Sabrina looks like she is going to be a lot of fun. You can definitely see the GSD in her!

Sasha is a big cutie too - rest well.

Re: MY dog Sabina

Who told you that dog had lab in it?

I don't see any lab- I see some pit bull in her face, actually.

To be honest, they probably said she was a lab mix to make sure she got adopted. Sheps don't adopt out well, because even still they have a bad reputation in some places.

She's gorgeous! I'm sure you'll have a great time with her!

Seriously? In my area Shepherds/Shepherd mixes get snatched up pretty fast.

Re: MY dog Sabina

Well, I know that in the shelter in which I volunteer, sheps don't get adopted too quickly.

Then again, I don't work for the Franklin County Dog Shelter. I work for CAHS, which usually only holds dogs on pending cruelty investigations or owner surrenders.

Then again, Columbus is known for dog fighting and other fun, nasty "sports" so any of the protection dogs are harder to adopt out. Most of the pitties and sheps we see are labeled as lab mixes, unless it is REALLY obvious that the dog is a pure bred.

Normally, the breed specific rescues pull them from the SPCA unless its part of a pending, cruelty investigation.

Re: MY dog Sabina

No... she's a shepherd/lab... I'm pretty sure of it. She wasn't a stray or anything of that sort either. The SPCA took her into custody from her original owner who was arrested based of some confidential charges.

When she looks directly at you... her face has the same exact shape as the lab at the barn where I board my horses at... (from the side she looks like a shepherd).
[You can see more of the resemblance from this pic of a yellow lab I found online - http://www.denizeslabradors.co.uk/im...estimonial.jpg ]

if she was part Pit Bull I'm sure they would have mentioned that. There were many pit bulls, pit bull crosses, and even a shepherd/ pit bull mix at the shelter we got her from so I don't think she would have been an exception in that sense.

I think what kind of throws off the lab in her are her ears, they are sooo big! Also she is younger and was a bit under weight when we got her so she still needs to fill out a bit more. (she's also on the "petite" size side.)

Thank you for the comments... she is a really fun dog but still needs some work. lol. I am happy we got her.
