| Re: In case you didn't think dogs smiled.... Ginny that is so cute. I always thought dogs smiled. Rotties have big cheesy grins on their faces half the time. That is why I always wonder how people can say they look mean. Those are both really beautiful dogs, Wow!
Here is a photo of another smile.

Off topic:
Has he had any more problems overheating? I hope not, and figured I would have seen a thread about it if he had, but just had to check. Riley's experience has made me super-paranoid about Blondie getting too hot. I simply won't let her run around when it's hot outside (over 95 degrees). Don't worry, she still gets to run inside the air-conditioned house, lol. |

Luckily the weather here in NY is a good 20 degrees lower than it was that scary day. He was absolutely fine and we also limited the playdate, we don't let it go on too long.
The sweet thing is that the GSD is not very socialized--somewhat I should say and she is only two months older than Riley. She was one of two german shepherds in the household, her "pack leader" died very suddenly of bloat about a month ago. I believe animals do mourn the deaths of other animals. ARiel (the GSD) was with Mickey (the other GSD who died from bloat) from the time she was eight weeks old, Mickey was 8 years old. Well, Ariel started acting out real bad in her home about two weeks ago and her owner was looking for another friendly dog for her to play with as she appears to be missing/mourning the lost dog. I told her to bring the dog here. Well, tonight my husband and I went out to dinner and I was saying how sweet ARiel was and my husband responded "it was a good thing because of her size, we could have had a real problem on our hands" but they got along really well and my friend is thrilled. We will do it again-- once again Riley is a therapy dog but in this instance, for another dog!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

| Re: In case you didn't think dogs smiled.... Lol, anyone who thinks dogs don't smile has clearly never seen an APBT.
I do so love seeing happy dog faces. They always seem to make you smile as well. |

| Re: In case you didn't think dogs smiled.... Did someone say APBT and smile?
Ok, so its a boxer/APBT, but hey it still works :-P
Anyone who owns a dog knows dogs smile. If you've never seen your dog smile, you haven't played with them enough. Carter runs around here all the time with a smile on his face. It always warms my heart to see him so happy.
What a beautiful GS and Poodle there. They look like they had so much fun

Here is a photo of another smile. | We get a few dogs that really show their teeth when they smile. Look almost like a growl, but nope they are indeed smiling. |
