I also like the look of the natural ears (with great danes too), but I can also understand the cropping. Sandy's ears are exactly the same. They are very thin and long. And they spend most of the time folded back anyway. I have to push them back down soooooooooo many times a day. I would think, that it would also be easier to keep them clean, thus preventing some ear problems down the road. Dunno for sure, but it made sense when I typed it.
