After being dissapointed when we were told five minutes before we were about ready to walk out the door to make the six hour trip to Michigan to see Sadie in person for her graduation day we couldn't see her, Leader Dog sent her photo in the mail today, of her and her new partner. I've cropped her person out of the picture as I don't have permission to post a picture of him and I'm not sure about the legalities of that.
Here is Sadie, my baby girl, now a Guide Dog! *does little happy dance*
Best of luck to you, Sadie, and I hope you have a joyful, fun filled career and that you really make a difference in your new owner's life. I still miss you and you will always hold a place in our home and our hearts. You left some mighty big pawprints to fill. We'll see you again someday, even if it is when you are done working and helping the people who need and ready to settle down for your retirement, we will see you. I'm sure of it.
On a less serious note, Chloe graduated today from her puppy class and I have a photo of that. LOL As soon as the trainer snapped the photo, Chloe's cap fell off and I went to grab it and Chloe decided she wanted to chew on the treat that I had in my hand.
And next week I'm going to get my senior pictures taken, so you guys will be able to see those as well. I'm going to include Blackie and Rose in one of my pictures, so you'll also get to see new photos of them. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I don't have to explain to you why Chloe isn't coming in with me for my senior pictures, five month old puppy class graduate or not.
