Isn't it great that P)aris Hilton will be in jail for 45 days since she disobeyed her driving ban. i hope she can;t accessorise with Tinkerbell there...

I wish America was as strict on our drunk drivers as many other countries are on their drunk drivers.
In some countries, after your first drunk driving incident, you lose your privilege to drive. (That's right, it's a privilege... not a right.)
On the second offense, they're given the death penalty.

I'm all for much stricter punishments (for all crimes).

Re: Paris

Paris should get the same punishment as anyone else who did what she did. Geeze with all here $$ why didnt she just hire a driver!

I do not agree with the death penalty for Drunk driving but I do definately think the punishment should be stricter or some how more effective to make sure they do not do it again.

To bad we could just get take away the drivers license's of alcholics to start with.

Not give people a license until they are maybe 18 too. Most 16 yr olds are too silly/ goofy to drive.

Paris Hilton amuses me.

Maybe it's just her before and after plastic surgery pictures, LOL!

And I do think that she should get the same punishment as everyone else.

Re: Paris

Well I read on Star magazine that in a club ( of course) when "Kevin was chatting it up with Paris , even though her new man was standing nearby," "They sat and danced together, and Paris was paying more attention to Kevin than Josh(B-F)

then it said(it = magazine..)" was josh jealous?" "He was like , 'Well what can I do about it? That's Paris"

So maybe she didn't really take him over...but you know...

I'm glad she's going to jail, it's about time some of these spoiled brats learn the law applies to them too and their parents and money won't shelter them from being punished. BTW, did anybody see her little "it so unfair" temper tantrum on E last night? She just doen't seem to understand that she's responsible for her actions!

Darn, I missed it. I will watch for a re-run....that had to be pretty funny, lol.
I dont know if I dislike her though. Maybe I have not followed her enough but from what I see she is just a rich young girl having some fun. Yes, she thinks she is a goddess but one day she will learn. I feel she deserves the time if that is the law but I do feel a bit bad for her she is going to be faced with things much worse than her 45 day prison time if she doesnt wise up and realize she is just a human like the rest of us.

Re: Paris

There are alot of celebs here recently that have been in trouble for drugs or drinking. I think she 100% deserves what she got and maybe it will help other celebs and her friends to think twice before they drink and drive or drive under the influence. Just because her father owns hilton hotels and is filthy rich doesn't mean she shouldn't be treated any diffrent than anybody else.

Re: Paris

Will she actually be in jail for 45 days. I thought they knocked so many days off for each day if you behave well or something like that?

I think she has to be in there for so many days before they look at good behavior and such..but I'm sure she can get out earlier if she behaves good.

Although the movie Men In Black made it out that the tabloids are the only real source of news... the reality is they're all a bunch of crap. I wouldn't hold too much stock in what is read on those pages.

That's the problem with so many people now days.
*I failed my class... it's the teacher's/professor's fault. I mean, I didn't study at all, and I completely ignored everything the teacher/professor was saying... but it's still his/her fault that I failed.
*I killed 50 people... it's my terrible childhood's fault. Besides the fact that I made the choice to kill 50 people, it's still my parents' fault.
*My child is fat... it's McDonald's fault. Besides the fact that I feed my child McDonald's for all three meals... it's not my fault... it's McDonald's fault.
*My child is constantly getting in trouble. It's the police's fault for singling out my child. Besides the fact that I never disciplined my child, and he's always out breaking the law... it's still the cops' fault.

There are so many examples I can think of that shows this mentality flourishing throughout our country. I cannot wait until people sit back and start using their common sense and realize that we are (and should be held) accountable for our actions.

Actually, if what I read is true, the judge made her sentence such that she will for sure be in for the full 45 days.

Re: Paris

I got another one,
"I killed my children, drowned them in a tub... but it's not my fault. The devil told me to do it."

Sorry I always thought "the devil made me do it" was a pathetic excuse for anyone to use.

The life of glamour and fame has made it to easy for people to get away with whatever they want and not pay a dime. It's horrible.

.
I watched the special on that. I think she actually thought she was doing them a favor and sending them to heaven. I think a mental inst. is the place for her. After all is'nt that really a jail for sick in the head people?

Re: Paris

Yeah it's actually pretty sad. All of her children were drowned for there own good. I think one was even about 1 year old. She had been acting wierd and then all the sudden she snapped. The husband came home to find his kids dead and her freaking out or something like that. I'm not sure what happened to her but I think she would have probably ended up in a mental institute. It's not really a jail. A lot of people would rather end up there then on death row.
