| Aspca Hi Peeps. I was just watching this Commercial about th ASPCA and them saving dogs lives. It was very sad seeing them hurt. Some had 1 eye, and some had no legs at all. So they were asking about donating to the ASPCA. 1 call is saying,"Im here to help". I just wanted to tell you guys, and I hope my sister gets to join. The Dogs eyes were like this.===> Denise |

| Re: Aspca One thing to keep in mind, though (and I apologize if I'm stating the obvious) when you see the ASPCA commercials, is that there are many, many more humane societies and shelters that need your help, many much more local to you. The ASPCA commercials you see on Animal Planet are for the shelter in New York City. Lots of people seem to think it's the main headquarters for all SPCAs, and it's not.
I'm not saying that the ASPCA isn't a great organization. They're the ones who found, took in, and took care of my Beavis when he was a stray*, so they have a special place in my heart. But unless you live in or around NYC, there's bound to be organizations closer to you that need your help just as much, if not more.
* Totally off topic, but tomorrow is the one year anniversary of Beavis' eye removal surgery. Beav is such a happy, happy boy that he proves that it can still be fun and games after someone loses an eye. |

| Re: Aspca ASPCA orginizations are found in plently of places around the US. But I think ppl should still volenter when the can, even if you aren't paid. (one of my friends and i were talking about going into there together to work and when she found out they didn't pay she wasn't interested! But that's her chioce) Animals everywhere still need our help if their fight for a better life. It is awsome that origizations like the ASPCA are around to show just what kind of things happen to animals and why we need to help. thank you to all of those who are taking care and volentering at your local animal shelters. the animals thank you too! |

Thats awsome! I agree, there is life after abuse. Congrats that he is still doing well, and I am sure he feels better now that he is in a loving home. |
